MISSION NOT ACCOMPLISHED. I failed to reach the summit of Mt. Whitney. I definitely was very disappointed in myself but I made an emotional decision (when I felt good) to go for the summit in one day. I should’ve stuck to the plan to do it in two days! I got excited and over ambitious. I used up all my gas on day one! Lesson learned! I should’ve been more conservative and taken into account I was sick and a bit jet lagged. I will definitely go back to get this summit at some point in the future!

Our attempt to complete the Lowest to Highest route ended just 800 feet from the summit of Mount Whitney, but what an adventure it was! From climbing snowy chutes to battling elevation sickness, we learned invaluable skills for future snowy mountain treks.
