Vanderbilt baseball finished off a sweep Kentucky with a 5-3 win Saturday at Hawkins Field. In the series finale, Kentucky scored three early runs off starter Cody Bowker, including two runs that came on solo homers.

Heading into Hawkins Field in Nashville, Kentucky had all but certainly locked itself into the NCAA Tournament — something that was firmly in doubt after a string of bad losses — but was looking to stun the Commodores in the Volunteer State to prove itself as a serious threat and improve its seeding.

Vanderbilt baseball's game against Kentucky set for May 16, has been moved to a 5 p.m. first pitch due to expected weather later in the evening, the program announced. This is the second of a three-game series. The game was originally scheduled for a 6 p.m. first pitch, but severe weather is expected to move into the Nashville area around 9-11 p.m.
