Just after 9 a.m. Saturday, the United States Geological Survey confirmed that the 4.1 magnitude earthquake was detected in Blount County, near the North Carolina state line.

Chief Meteorologist Todd Howell shared that earthquakes in East Tennessee might not be as common as you think.
