After months of public discord, Delgado on Monday released a statement saying he won’t be on the governor’s reelection ticket next year and hinting that he might actually challenge her for the governor’s office.

He wouldn't say if he would challenge the Democratic governor in a primary or pursue a seat in Congress, as some of his supports have urged.
