Another round of rain is expected to move into Central Florida late Monday morning, and some could become severe. While the rain is expected to clear out by early evening, an isolated tornado could form if any storms intensify.

A NEXT Weather Alert is in effect Monday as strong to severe storms bring the threat of flooding, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes across South Florida.

A soaking storm could produce more localized flooding early this week from Florida and the Southeast to the mid-Atlantic as it sluggishly moves eastward while tapping into an atmospheric river. The storm system is producing areas of locally heavy rain in the Southeast right now.
