‘The Cannonball Run’ actor, Alfie Wise dies at 82
A frequent co-star of Burt Reynolds, who appeared in such films as “The Cannonball Run” and “Stroker Ace,” has died. Alfie Wise was 82 years old. TMZ said he died on July 22 at a West Palm Beach, Florida, Veteran Affairs medical center. Wise’s fiancée, Stephanie Bliss, confirmed his death.
The Cannonball Run is the 1981 movie written by legendary auto writer Brock Yates, loosely based on his own multiple runnings of the Cannonball Baker Sea-To-Shining-Sea Memorial Trophy Dash.
The concept of using electric vehicles for coast-to-coast “Cannonball Run” speed trials is fairly new Lars Thomsen bought a Model 3 in 2018 in the US, and imported it to Switzerland.
