The University of Texas is responding to reports that its football roster will cost between $35 million and $40 million in 2025, calling the figure exaggerated and misleading.

Texas is reportedly increasing its name, image, and likeness (NIL) budget, which will be a “one-time exorbitant expense” for what is set to be nation’s most expensive college football team. This budget projection also includes a $20.5 million revenue-sharing allotment, per the outlet.
