National Hurricane Center tracking Tropical Storm Erin. See spaghetti models, Florida impact
The hatched areas on the National Hurricane Center's tropical outlook map indicate "areas where a tropical cyclone — which could be a tropical depression, tropical storm or hurricane — could develop," said National Hurricane Center Deputy Director Jamie Rhome.

Tropical Storm Erin continued its march across the Atlantic Ocean on Wednesday, but so far had not managed to strengthen. The National Hurricane Center thinks that will change soon, however, and is forecasting Erin to become the first hurricane of the season in a few days.
