Max, the streaming service formerly known as HBO Max and now known by that name again, complained that X, the social platform formerly known as Twitter, is not letting it switch back to its original moniker.

As of Wednesday, HBO Max is no longer Max and is back to being HBO Max, just on the Max platform. We know, it's confusing. Either way, it appears that X (fka Twitter) is not playing ball with all of this back and forth - or at any rate, it has not played ball yet.

HBO Max has run into an unexpected challenge while trying to update its name on X (formerly known as Twitter). The streaming service officially returned to the HBO Max branding this week, after previously rebranding to just Max.
