DETROIT (WYXZ) — Veteran Lions tackle Taylor Decker has been added to the Pro Bowl roster for the first time in his career. The team announced Monday that Decker is replacing Sewell, who is unable to participate in the Pro Bowl Games due to an undisclosed injury.

After withdrawing due to injury, left tackle Taylor Decker will step in and travel to Orlando, Florida for this year's annual competition. It will be the veteran's first appearance. This year, Brain Branch and Jahmyr Gibbs earned their first Pro Bowl nominations.

As a team captain, the talented offensive lineman shared his frustration and difficulty dealing with the Lions losing unexpectedly to the Washington Commanders.

The NFL is set to conduct its annual Pro Bowl Games Thursday and Sunday, and six Detroit Lions will officially be participating. For the third consecutive year, the league's best will compete in a series of skills competitions and a flag football game, eschewing the traditional tackle football event. Games include dodgeball, tug-of-war and punting competitions.

The 2025 Pro Bowl will take place from Jan. 30 to Feb. 2 with the NFL's top players competing in a variety of activities at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.
