The rally comes after Russia and the U.S. agreed to start working toward ending the war in Ukraine and improving their diplomatic and economic ties.
On Saturday, the Ukrainian Society of Michigan coordinated a Unity Walk for Ukraine to mark the third anniversary of Russia's invasion of the country, which happened on February 24, 2022.
Yoopers for Ukraine, which organized the Marquette demonstration, had 11 events across the U.P. over the last weekend.
