The fifth-ranked University of Arkansas baseball team completed a sweep of Washington State on Monday with a 12-2 win in seven innings at Baum-Walker Stadium.

The Razorbacks will face Kansas State in the College Baseball Series Friday night in Arlington, TX. FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas — No. 5 Arkansas baseball (4-0) defeated Washington State (0-4), 12-2, to complete the Opening Weekend series sweep.

In drawing seven walks and scoring five runs, Justin Thomas Jr. made an impression during Arkansas baseball's opening weekend sweep of Washington State.

Beidelschies allowed 1 run, 4 hits and 1 walk, and struck out 7. He threw 49 of 71 pitches for strikes. Arkansas also got 5-innings starts from right-handers Gabe Gaeckle and Gage Wood, and lefty Zach Root during the Washington State series.

Arkansas baseball (6-1) shortshop Wehiwa Aloy has earned SEC Player of the Week honors after a strong offensive performance over the past four games. Aloy had two home runs and five RBIs over four games on the week including the series finale against Washington State and in the wins over TCU and Michigan.

Arkansas has announced its weekend rotation for the three games in Arlington, Texas. Righty Gabe Gaeckle will get the start tonight against Kansas State. Zach Root gets the start Saturday against Kansas State.

Coach Van Horn, as well as Landon Beidelschies, Kuhio Aloy, and Wehiwa Aloy met with the media following No. 5 Arkansas’ 12-2 game four victory over Washington State. The win clinched a series sweep for the Hogs over the Cougars.
