Los Angeles, United States - February 12, 2025 02/12/2025 01:30 am (GMT-0800) PACIFIC PALISADES, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A Los Angeles Police Department unit patrolling the Palisades Fire burn area reported a large water main break at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Las Casas Avenue and requested the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power to respond.

A sinkhole opened up in the Pacific Palisades burn zone after a water main broke early Wednesday morning. The incident was reported around 1:30 a.m. when a Los Angeles police officer first noticed a massive amount of water flowing near West Sunset Boulevard and North Las Casas Avenue.
