Pope Leo XIV on Sunday announced that the dates of the next World Youth Day, to be held in Seoul, South Korea, will be Aug. 3–8, 2027.

Pope Leo XIV will attend in August 2027 in Seoul the global Catholic festival World Youth Day (WYD). The Archdiocese of Seoul said the pope on Aug. 3 officially confirmed at this year's Mass for the Jubilee of Young People in Rome that Seoul will host the 2027 event from Aug.
