Thursday is a First Alert Weather Day​ for the potential of strong to severe storms in the afternoon and evening hours.

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Severe storms dumped hail up to golf ball and baseball size across parts of Central Texas Thursday evening. Several Severe Thunderstorm Warnings were issued in the Hill Country and in the southern Austin metro. The storms also prompted changes to local high school graduation ceremonies.

Storm timing will be from 1 to 11 p.m. for much of North and Central Texas, according to the NWS. For Dallas-Fort Worth proper, storms could arrive by 3 p.m. at the earliest, but are more likely between 4 to 9 p.m.
