The Philadelphia 76ers made a couple of selections in the 2025 NBA draft as they picked Baylor star VJ Edgecombe with the No. 3 overall pick in Round 1 and then Auburn star Johni Broome No. 35 overall in Round 2. The two of them are expected to help the Sixers move forward on their championship path.

Johni Broome led Auburn to the Final Four and piled up a trophy case full of accolades during the 2024-25 college basketball season. But after being drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday night, Broome has had to leave behind the No. 4 jersey from his time with the Tigers. With the Sixers, Broome will wear No. 22.
