ST. LOUIS (AP) — Storm systems sweeping across the Midwest have left several people dead, including nine killed after a tornado sparked a mass casualty event in southeastern Kentucky. Kentucky authorities said there were severe injuries as well as a twister tore across Laurel County late Friday.

After a chaotic and emotional day, the clean-up effort in Collings Lakes, New Jersey, is just beginning in this community.

The National Weather Service has confirmed that three more tornadoes touched down in Michigan early Friday, bringing the total to six in the state from the severe storm.
