Flights are on hold and the runway is closed at Birmingham Airport (BHX) after an "aircraft incident". The nature of the incident is not yet clear. Birmingham Airport reopened its only runway on Wednesday, more than six hours after a small aircraft made an emergency landing due to landing gear failure, leaving one person with minor injuries.
