Saquon Barkley agreed a two-year extension with the Philadelphia Eagles on Wednesday, a month on from the former New York Giants star helping his new team win the Super Bowl

According to Adam Schefter, the deal is a two-year extension worth $41.2 million. It will make Barkley the first $20 million per-year running back in league history and guarantees him $36 million at signing. Another $15 million in incentives and escalators are worked into the deal, too.

Saquon Barkley won the Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles, set the NFL record for the most single-season rushing yards including the playoffs and raised the bar for running back contracts. Now he's focused on cementing his legacy and place in football history.
