There has been a new receiver added to the WVU roster, one with a familiar face and name. Preston Fox is back with the Mountaineers despite having said he was through after an injury-plagued 2024 season.

Back in January, West Virginia wide receiver Preston Fox decided to end his career as a collegiate football player and retire from the game. Today, it was announced by Mountaineers’ head coach Rich Rodriguez that Fox has now returned to the team.
