The Shelby County Detention Center is continuing to search for an inmate who escaped the prison Tuesday afternoon.
Deputies arrived to find the man on the floor of the cell after the apparent attack, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The Sacramento County Main Jail was on lockdown after an inmate died following a fight inside of his cell, the sheriff's office told KCRA 3.
