The Times has obtained a list of 53 Venezuelan men the Trump administration has put in a wartime prison built to hold Al Qaeda suspects.

The Trump administration has ordered the detention of as many as 30,000 undocumented migrants in what is described as a “legal black hole” at the Guantánamo Bay, Cuba US naval base.

Earlier this month, the US sent the first batch of migrants to Guantanamo Bay in Cuba after Trump announced plans to expand immigrant detention centres at the military base. POTUS has ordered the expansion of an existing migrant detention facility at the base to hold 30,

The Times has obtained a list of the names of the men, whom the U.S. government has described as Venezuelan citizens under final deportation orders.

President Trump has said the U.S. naval base at Guantánamo Bay would house what he called the "worst" migrants. Still, according to both internal government documents and U.S. officials, the administration is also sending nonviolent detainees who do not have serious criminal records or in some cases any criminal records at all.

The Trump Administration is backing away from a previous promise to only send the "worst of the worst" to Guantanamo Bay, and according to CBS News, has been sending non-violent, low risk undocumented migrants to facilities at Guantanamo Bay during the repatriation process.
