Deutsche Boerse’s post-trade unit Clearstream said it will offer cryptocurrency settlement and custody services to institutional clients later this year, marking the latest push into the digital asset class by a major European financial institution.

Deutsche Börse Group is doubling down on its crypto foray with its subsidiary Clearstream entering the crypto custody market. According to an announcement on Mar. 11, the Germany-based post-trade powerhouse will as from April 2025 offer Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) custody services.

Germany's Deutsche Boerse will offer cryptocurrency custody and settlement services for institutional clients from next month, the company said on Tuesday, becoming the latest firm to offer custody management for bitcoin and ether.
