This can be one of the advantages of Excel tables and charts over other data visualization systems where charts and datasets are effectively stored and managed separately.

Once you've mastered some of the more straightforward Excel charts, try using some that offer more specific functions and data visualization.

Select the two sets of data you want to use to create the graph. Choose the "Insert" tab, and then select "Recommended Charts" in the Charts group.
