The Longhorns swept their SEC series against rival Texas A&M in their first meeting with the Aggies since coach Jim Schlossnagle departed College Station to take the job at Texas. They also secured a memorable comeback win on the road against Texas State in midweek action.

Texas got as much and maybe more than it hoped for out of its weekend series against Texas A&M. The Longhorns won three straight one-run games, extended their win streak to nine games and solidified themselves as the best team in college baseball.
