Rúben Dias is close to signing a new Manchester City contract with the defender currently having two seasons remaining on his current deal.

Manchester City have agreed a new deal with centre-back Rúben Dias, sources have told ESPN. Dias was under contract at the Etihad Stadium until 2027. The club have moved quickly to tie down the Portugal defender with a new long-term deal.

With the departures of Kyle Walker and Kevin De Bruyne from Manchester City being officially confirmed this summer a new batch of leaders will emerge in Pep Guardiola’s squad.
