Kid Cudi, a key witness in the sex trafficking trial against hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, revealed in a new interview published Wednesday that he declined to testify twice before he was ultimately subpoenaed.

The renowned rapper and actor – whose real name is Scott Mescudi – publicly recounted for the first time his experience in Manhattan federal court on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, telling host Alex Cooper he only testified against the Bad Boy Records founder because he was subpoenaed.

During the trial, Kid Cudi — real name Scott Mescudi — took the stand as a key witness, having dated Ventura after her split with Combs in 2011. ‘I hated every minute of it. I did not want to do it,’ the Grammy winner revealed on the Call Her Daddy podcast.
