According to the USDA Egg Markets Overview, egg prices have surged to almost $9 per dozen, depending on the type and size of the eggs and which state they’re sold in.

Wegmans' website currently allows customers to buy up to 10 cartons of a dozen eggs or 18-count eggs, with a maximum of 180 eggs. Walmart is reportedly limiting customers to two 60-count cartons per purchase, or a maximum of 120 eggs, “to help ensure more customers can have access to eggs.”
