Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Brentford captain Christian Norgaard. Standard Sport reported on Tuesday that a £9.3m bid for Norgaard had been submitted and it now appears Mikel Arteta has got his man with the BBC reporting that the midfielder is set to undergo a medical.

Gabriel Magalhaes has had a tight grip on the '6' at Arsenal since 2020, but Partey leaving would free up the more traditional centre-back's '5' for the Brazilian to inherit, thus leaving the '6' awaiting its next taker.
