Protests over federal immigration enforcement raids and President Donald Trump’s move to mobilize the National Guard and Marines to Los Angeles are spreading nationwide and are expected to continue into the weekend.

Anti-ICE protests have spread to Dallas following violent demonstrations in Los Angeles, as concerns over the Trump administration's immigration crackdown and ICE's lack of transparency on arrest numbers grow.

Demonstrations in McAllen, Midland, Odessa, Austin and elsewhere in Texas were largely peaceful, as some protests went well into the night.

As immigration raids and protests continue in Los Angeles, several local immigration advocacy groups are preparing for a rally in Dallas Monday night in a show of solidarity.

Ahead of this weekend's "No Kings" protests against Trump administration policies and recent immigration raids, Latino elected officials and civic leaders urged participants to remain peaceful while still exercising their right to free speech.

"The Diocese of Dallas remains steadfast in its mission to accompany all who are vulnerable, including the immigrant and refugee," Bishop Edward J. Burns wrote.

The protest in Dallas on Monday was one of several demonstrations against ICE nationwide following days of unrest in Los Angeles.

A curfew was declared in Spokane, Washington, and protests were held in several cities including Seattle, St. Louis and Las Vegas on Wednesday night.

Dallas-Fort Worth residents began turning out in force Saturday for local "No Kings" protests against President Donald Trump's policies, including anti-immigration raids.
