is it possible to rent kayaks by the day or hourly and paddle around the lake? Or is the river or a kayak river tour available and worth it. Will have a couple first time kayakers with so looking for calm, easy waters, no white water rapids adventure.

Yes, the seasonal camp store located in the south park has hourly rentals of SUP boards and kayaks, weather dependent. Good to call ahead first to see if they're open and renting.
